If you think you have what it takes to help build the next generation of Thunderbird and beyond, here are our current job openings:
Technical Support Lead
We're looking for a Technical Support Lead who knows Thunderbird well, but most importantly can understand the requirements of providing support for a hugely diverse population of several million users. The result should be a high level of customer satisfaction.
A successful candidate is self-motivated, can provide professional, courteous and prompt technical support as well as train others, and can work in the Mozilla community to come up with solutions to customer issues. He or she can: analyze and prioritize issues, work with our Thunderbird development team to resolve advanced issues, document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps, and interface directly with customers. Some technical skills that would be particularly useful: knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X and general desktop support issues, knowledge of email and networking concepts, experience in a help desk/call center environment supporting software or Internet products.
Engineers
We're looking for seasoned engineers who care deeply about email and want to radically improve the email lives of millions of people, who aren't afraid of large codebases and complex systems, and who are eager to show their worth in a project which spans networking, databases, client-side UI using the Mozilla framework, and more. Experience with C++ and the Mozilla technologies an advantage.
