Community
Thunderbird has gotten where it has thanks to the amazing contributions of thousands of people over more than a decade, coders, testers, translators, and others.
As in all Mozilla projects, Thunderbird contributors use all the processes which have evolved over the years, including the use of wikis for planning and developer documentation, Bugzilla for keeping track of bugs, feature requests and work items, IRC for realtime collaboration, and newsgroups, mailing lists, and of course email for communication.
If you care about email or communications over the Internet, chances are you can help, whether that's by coding, suggesting feature ideas, helping test Thunderbird or translating it into your language, helping extend Thunderbird to work with your technology or products, or promoting the ideals of the Mozilla community. Find out how.
